Summary

A Harris Regional Services Technician responds to all customer requests ranging from training requests to phone support requests, to onsite repair of voting equipment requests. This individual is one of the local customer support routes. The position requires residency in Harris County, Texas. The Regional Service Technician handles all Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests for external customers for all Hart InterCivic Verity products within his/her region and provides on-site customer support and troubleshooting on an as-needed basis. This position will adhere to the Proprietary Information and Intellectual Property Agreement as it defines and communicates this position’s responsibilities to protect the Company’s information and information security. This responsibility extends outside the organization’s premises and outside normal working hours, e.g., in the case of work-from-home.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum High School Diploma
  • College level education or advanced technical certifications encouraged
  • Working knowledge of computer and internet operations is required
  • Minimum of 1-year equipment troubleshooting experience
  • Minimum of 1-year direct customer support experience in an election systems environment
  • Experience with enterprise level case management application (CRM) is preferred
  • County election management experience is preferred

  • Ability to communicate clearly and patiently with all types of individuals
  • Ability to create, read, interpret, and comprehend reports, procedures, and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public 
  • The ability to “multi-task,” plan time effectively, problem solve, apply logic and reason to a situation 
  • The successful regional technician must possess the ability to accurately assess a given situation and decide the logical course of action
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
